Dear sailing friends<\/p>\n

Novalis has been sponsoring and supporting international H-Boat class competitions for several years now. I myself have had the pleasure of taking part in such regattas and I am often asked how the connection to sailing is established, when no Novalis employee is a real sailor. Why does Novalis, an international manufacturer of vinyl flooring, support the H-Boat class? What fascinates us about sailing is the clean sport and the fair competition. Driven only by the wind, the participants sail under the same conditions. , where you often have to keep clear of a right-of-way boat but you can never force it. In the end, there is usually a deserving and universally recognised winner.<\/p>\n

In return for his support, Novalis receives professional pictures that reproduce this fundamental character of the H-Boat championships. Everyone looking at these pictures senses something of the focus and orientation on the essentials, of the confrontation with wind and water and the beauty of nature worthy of protection. All of this is reflected in many of Novalis\u2019 strategic decisions and we used some of the images from the 2023 H-Boat sailing season in our last sustainability report for the graphic design.<\/p>\n

We hope that there will be enough water under the keel for the International German Championships on the Lake Eder, a strong wind in the sails and fair crews on all boats. For all participants, the many helpers and spectators, we hope for sunny weather for a perfect championship.<\/p>\n

Yacht Club Edertal and H-Boat Fleet Lake Eder<\/h2>\n

The Yacht Club Edertal (ESV'86)<\/a> was founded in 1986. Nowadays, not least due to its founding member Karl Draude, a large number of H-Boats compete nationally and internationally under the flag of the ESV\u201986. Already in the year 2009, the club organized the German championship of the H-Boat class. The H-Boat Fleet Lake Eder unites many enthusiastic regatta sailors, especially an increasing number of young talents, who want to present you with great regatta days and an eventful side program. We are looking forward to welcoming you to the IDM 2024 at Lake Eder.<\/p>\n
